From humble beginnings

Our story begins long before Saltspring Soapworks did: Four generations ago with a grandmother and a farm. Using beef tallow and ash, she handcrafted soap—a legacy that was handed down to her granddaughter and our founder, Linda Quiring. The simplicity of our beginnings remains the essence of our remedies today.

Simply amazing

I love this soap. The scent is amazing! It's gentle and luxurious and never dries out my skin. I just can't get enough. The mango lime is another fave. I have never been disapointed with any of the products. Love supporting this local!!

Have been a fan of the rosemary-mint wash for six years. I finally branched out and tried this one and it is just as amazing. I'll be buying the refill size the next time.

Fantastic product

I can’t get enough of this soap. It’s gentle, and smells incredible. I love the light scent it leaves on your hands and in the air after use. It’s highly versatile as well. I’ve used it to wash my hands, children, and even my floor.

I buy the refill container now to top up the dispenser, and I still get compliments from guests on how lovely my bathroom soap is (SS Soapworks isn’t well known in Toronto).

I’m grateful that shipping is available so I can keep supporting island industry from afar.
