From humble beginnings

Our story begins long before Saltspring Soapworks did: Four generations ago with a grandmother and a farm. Using beef tallow and ash, she handcrafted soap—a legacy that was handed down to her granddaughter and our founder, Linda Quiring. The simplicity of our beginnings remains the essence of our remedies today.

Best diaper cream!

I came across this diaper cream at a gift shop on my baby shower trip to the island. The lady working there told me that mothers swear by this diaper cream. As a first time mom I took her word for it and picked it up right away. It’s been 8 years since then, I’ve had a few more kids and I still use this diaper cream - and yes I swear by it too. First off it smells wonderful and makes a routine diaper change feel a bit nicer (and with this many kids that counts towards self care for me). It’s not chalky like other diaper creams that have zinc oxide, which is the ingredient that helps prevent diaper rash. It kind of melts onto the skin and does a good job preventing rashes. If baby does happen to get one though, I use a cream with 40% zinc oxide for a couple of days and switch right back to this one. Works like a charm. I buy this cream for my friends’ babies and have recommended it to more fellow moms than I can count. Worth every penny.

Baby Balm for Everything! 💯

I use this product for my hands when I need a heavy moisturizer during those extra dry times. Also works great to quicken the healing time with cuts and cracks on knuckles, helping to reduce scarring. Love the beeswax formula and gentle scent! 🐝 A must have product!! 💛

Baby Bottom Balm best skincare product ever

I’ve had four babies and used this product for all of them. I cannot tell you how well this works, you must try it yourself, but we still use this product for all skin ailments in our home… and my youngest baby is now 8 years old! It’s THE only balm for us.
