From humble beginnings

Our story begins long before Saltspring Soapworks did: Four generations ago with a grandmother and a farm. Using beef tallow and ash, she handcrafted soap—a legacy that was handed down to her granddaughter and our founder, Linda Quiring. The simplicity of our beginnings remains the essence of our remedies today.

10/10 For My Super Sensitive Skin

To be honest, I was a little hesitant to order this product as I always am once I finally build up enough courage to try another product on my skin. and after a full kitchen clean - I love it! Thank you for making yet ANOTHER fantastic product. I suffer from horrific eczema and finding products that do not aggravate it is an endless battle. I found your body wash while I was at a cabin in Tofino and have used nothing but for 5 years now. Now, I will be able to say the same thing for the dishsoap.
Its actually quite bubbly which was unexpected but awesome. It cuts grease and all the grime without effort. I also purchased the brush and together they are 10/10. I cleaned my kitchen back splash without effort, my oven top super easily and did not feel like i had to soak my hands in moisturizing lotion afterword's
Its absolutely amazing and it has immediately become a staple in my house.

Excited but disappointed

For awhile now I've been wanting to reduce my carbon footprint by reducing my single use plastic use. I decided to give the solid dish soap a try. After a fairly thorough search for a Canadian product, I decided on Salt Spring Soap Works. I love the dish and the soap brush, but I find the soap leaves a white film on all the dishes. Even with a hot water and vinegar rinse. I have very hard water so I add vinegar in my rinse water to get rid of water marks. The smell is great, but I'm not sold on the product and will not be purchasing again. The search continues....

Perfect dish soap.

We purchased this a month ago. It’s the best dish soap we have ever had. It cleans the class cook top, makes easy work of dishes. We were worried about the sent as we have a cat but the scent is wonderful and it doesn’t bother our cat at all. It’s also long lasting after a month of use we still have 3/4 of the bar left!
Absolutely love this product.
