Our Story

From humble beginnings

Our story begins long before Saltspring Soapworks did: Four generations ago with a grandmother and a farm. Using beef tallow and ash, she handcrafted soap—a legacy that was handed down to her granddaughter and our founder, Linda Quiring. The simplicity of our beginnings remains the essence of our remedies today.

An essential part of my skin routine

I met this spray in Victoria, bought a bottle, and fell in love with it. Brought it to Montreal, and used it every day as a morning toner, and goodness-knows-how-many times at random times throughout the hot, muggy summer days as a relief from sweaty face syndrome (if you live in the East, you’ll know what humidity is!). A bottle lasted me several months…like about 10, with daily use.
Can’t live without it so I’m having it shipped to Montreal now! Thank you Saltspring Soapworks, for this and other amazing products. :) To quote another reviewer, “May it always be available!”

Great multi purpose spray!

Like all Salt Spring Soapworks products, this has a great natural scent. I use both mist products as a makeup setting spray and it works great.
