*Salt Spring Sea Salt
Locally harvested, culinary grade, and of very limited supply.

*Dulce Seaweed
Dulce contains antioxidants, anti-inflammatory compounds, and Vitamin C, which is essential for collagen production and helps keep skin looking firm and youthful while exfoliating, brightening, and moisturizing dry, dull skin.

*Bladderwrack Seaweed
Bladderwrack contains carotene, selenium, zinc, and small amounts of antioxidant Vitamins A, C, and E that add to its unique anti-aging, nourishing and healing properties.

*Spirulina
A type of blue-green algae containing antioxidants and nutrients is grown by the Maren family, which has been producing and selling spirulina for ten years in Cambodia. Through the Swiss Antenna Foundation, this provides work for their four family members as well as work for part-time workers.

Our story begins long before Saltspring Soapworks did: Four generations ago with a grandmother and a farm. Using beef tallow and ash, she handcrafted soap—a legacy that was handed down to her granddaughter and our founder, Linda Quiring. The simplicity of our beginnings remains the essence of our remedies today.
