Our Story

From humble beginnings

Our story begins long before Saltspring Soapworks did: Four generations ago with a grandmother and a farm. Using beef tallow and ash, she handcrafted soap—a legacy that was handed down to her granddaughter and our founder, Linda Quiring. The simplicity of our beginnings remains the essence of our remedies today.

Great gift for someone you love.

Great products, not packaging I was expecting

Maybe I shouldn’t have assumed, but when something is labeled a ‘gift set’ I expect to be able to gift it as is, and not have to re-wrap it. Unfortunately, these items just come in a brown box, as if I had purchased them all separately. I don’t need a lot of packaging, but something a little nicer for the receiver would make this a five star! The products on their own are all wonderful though and my wife loved it!
